Athletic

increase your

Performance?

Practicing yoga can change your life, but it doesn't have to take over your life. (I know how busy you athletes are!)

After learning the basics over a few private sessions with me, you'll get a customized yoga regimen you can easily add to your
daily routine.

It's simpler than you think to get started — and even easier to keep going.

You could improve your agility & recovery in as little as 5 minutes a day, 2-3 days a week.

I'm a firm believer that if you listen to your body, it will tell you what to do. Athletes understand this naturally. That's partly why I love working with you guys so much — you really respect your bodies.

Yet while you're used to a more fast-paced environment, I like to take things slow. My approach to yoga is focused on rest and recovery, which (counter to popular belief) are key to your athletic performance. I structure each session to accommodate your needs, being as patient as I need to help you breathe deeply, quiet your mind, and stretch yourself to the best poses for you.

My signature teaching style for athletes

Give it a chance — at least one chance. Worst-case scenario, you've challenged yourself and tried something new. Best-case scenario, you've found the secret to a better athletic career, a sharper mental state, and a happier, healthier life...

okay, i'll try it

Even if you feel like you don’t have time to add Yoga to your routine

A yoga practice can benefit everyone, from high-school athletes to college teams to people of all ages and abilities. Guided by an experienced instructor (ahem, like me), you'll learn the personalized poses and techniques that help you feel and perform your best.

Cool — Let's do it

Fill out my contact form to discuss your health goals and scheduling options. After prepaying for your first class, you’ll fill out a questionnaire about your sport, position, workout schedule, current and past injuries, and any joints or muscles you want to focus on.

2. Establish your
baseline

3. Build upon your success

After I review your questionnaire, we’ll meet for an initial consultation. At this first class, I’ll get an idea of your current range of motion, any tight areas, and which poses are ideal for you. You may get some “homework” to work on, while I have my own: creating your custom yoga routine.
At your second class, I’ll walk you through your personalized yoga routine, leaving you with a hard copy you can reference later. We’ll continue to work on your goals at each follow-up class, adjusting your routine as needed, for as long as it takes to see the success you’re looking for.

“Alex is that rare gem of a yoga teacher that is passionate about their craft and both compassionate and empathetic towards her students. I was nervous about taking yoga and from the first moment I felt at ease with her. She is never judgmental of my abilities and always reminds me to be forgiving and listen to my body… I like her private lessons as we are able to discuss my needs and tailor the sessions accordingly. She has truly been a godsend for me.”

Ideally, you’ll have an in-person yoga session with me every other week. This allows us to build upon your progress without taking too much time out of your busy schedule. Depending on our availability and goals, we could meet weekly or monthly instead. Anything less than that, and you may start to lose the gains we’ve made. Regardless, I encourage you to practice your poses at home on a semi-regular basis. I’m not talking a big time commitment here — just 5–15 minutes per focus area, 2–3 days a week. It’s really that simple.

How often should we meet?

While there is no set timeline, most athletes work with me between 6 mo- 1 yr. This gives us enough time to see real change in your body’s balance, power, and performance. Some athletes choose to work with me longer to ensure that change lasts. Some see the success they’re seeking in as few as 3–4 sessions. While you’ll get a discount for booking a multi-session package, you can always pay per lesson if you prefer. We’ll talk about the ideal schedule for you during our initial consultation.
