People often ask me...

What do I need to wear to a yoga class or sound bath?

Wear whatever you will feel comfortable moving or lying down in. This can include yoga leggings or shorts, basketball shorts, t-shirts, or tanks.

What should I bring with me to class?

Always bring a yoga mat. Be sure to read each class description so you’ll know if blocks or bolsters are needed, or if it’s a workout style class, you’ll want to bring water and a towel. If you’re attending a sound bath, bring EVERYTHING that will make you comfortable. This may include eye mask or pillow, bolster, blanket, or your favorite sweatshirt.

What exactly is a sound bath?

It is a restorative class where you are invited to participate lying on your mat. Bring all the comfy things with you. While you lie there, I will play an assortment of crystal singing bowls and chimes to help you relax and, sometimes, fall asleep. Think of this class as the ultimate nap or extended savasana.

How long are your classes?

Typically, both yoga and sound bath classes last 1 hour unless otherwise noted in the description.

Can I still attend class if I’m injured or pregnant?

If you are injured or pregnant, please consult with your doctor first. Let them know the details surrounding the class you are attending so they are able to best advise you. Please make Alex aware before class, so she is able to list modifications before and be conscious throughout. Always listen to your body and stop whenever you need to.

Which classes should I come to if I’m a true beginner?

First, decide on your yoga goal. Each class will contain a description about the focus of class i. e. restorative, stretchy, fitness. Alex teaches every class with modifications or multiple pose options, so every class truly is beginner friendly.
