Bring your mat, bolster, blanket, eye mask, or pillow—whatever you need to be comfortable for class. Sitting is also an option. Prepare for deep relaxation as I guide you through breathing exercises to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a "rest and digest" state for optimal recovery and heal your achy muscles.
I will play an assortment of crystal bowls and chimes to help your mind relax. You can meditate using the sounds to clear your thoughts, or you may allow yourself to fall asleep, giving your body the rest it needs. Whether you seek mental or physical recovery, this class is designed to support you. After the sound session, there will be a moment of silence to let your body acclimate. Listen for my voice as I gently guide you back. This class is dedicated to enhancing your recovery which will help with your athletic performance.
This Vinyasa-style class is designed to complement your athletic training. Flowing through the foundation of Sun Salutations, we’ll connect movement with breath, creating a dynamic and slightly elevated pace. Think inhale to move up, exhale to move down. Each session will feature a peak pose to enhance focus and challenge your body, with 2 or more modifications to ensure accessibility and benefit for all participants.
Throughout the class, I will provide body alignment cues to help you achieve optimal form and prevent injury. We’ll end each class with Savasana for deep relaxation and recovery. This one-hour class is perfect for athletes looking to enhance their cross training (excellent addition during off season) and overall performance. Join me to elevate your practice and support your athletic goals.
I understand the challenges of maintaining your health and wellness with rising costs. This donation-based class, with a suggested price of $20, allows you to pay what you can to access movement once a month. The class will continue as long as we can cover fees. The focus is on building community. Yoga brings people together, making life's journey easier with support. As any athlete knows, a strong support system helps motivate you while fostering a holistic well-being allowing you to train harder, recover faster, and perform at your best.
This will be a monthly Aromatherapy Yoga class with a varying flavor of tea to try. The movement portion of class will last about 45 minutes. The remaining 15 minutes are dedicated to grabbing a cup of tea, meeting new people, and forming connections. Join me to move, connect, and grow together.
Train like an athlete with my bootcamp-style yoga series. This series is designed to build strength, increase flexibility, and enhance mobility. These classes blend dynamic, fitness-focused yoga with slow, stretchy poses to soothe sore muscles from class. Sprinkled throughout the series, you will find classes focusing on rest and recovery to keep you energized to the end. Expect to be challenged and leave feeling strong and proud of your accomplishments.
Every class is accessible to all levels, with multiple modifications offered throughout. This unique series is your only chance to experience my fitness-focused yoga classes; available only three times a year: January 8-18, June 3-13, and October 7-17. Join me to feel stronger, move better, and enjoy life with greater mobility!
Yoga Tone is built off of a Vinyasa yoga base…meaning the movements stem from Sun Salutations… think of some of your basic yoga poses. This is a fast paced class. There will be plenty of yoga to stretch you out, cardio bursts, dancing, and workout elements added throughout. Think of this as the Zumba of yoga. You’ll end up with a full body workout with stretching mixed in between. You will be challenged, and you will have to step out of your comfort zone. Have fun and don’t take the class too seriously! Class ends in Savasana.
Work Flow is two classes in one! Abby from The Iron Studio will begin class with body weight, weighted, or partner exercises. This is the only class that may include weights. Most of her exercises are timed or she’ll let us know how many reps to do. After you have completed a full workout, I will jump to the front of the class to begin the cool down. The yoga portion of class is always slow and stretchy. I’ll slow the heart rate and stretch out your fatigued muscles from class. Class will end with Savasana.
Bands utilizes resistance bands for class. This class is a HIIT style that uses the bands to work your glutes, hips, legs, and we’ll throw in some arms and core work on occasion. We will do timed workouts, so it’s completely up to you to do as many reps as you feel comfortable doing. We will do 5 exercises with each one followed by a quick break to adjust the bands. After all 5 exercises and breaks, then we get a full minute to rest. We’ll repeat this 3 more times to make 4 total sets. When it’s all said and done, we’ll cool down, stretch, and end in Savasana.
Aromatherapy Yoga also known as ATY. Class will be a slow to medium paced Vinyasa for the first half of class. I will focus on muscle groups that we have worked out during the series so you will be nice and stretched out. The second half of class will be restorative poses allowing you time to slow down and relax. A diffuser will be going to further aid in your stress relief. Some classes, but not all, may include hands-on adjustments. Feel free to opt out of these. Class will end in Savasana.
Yoga Abs is a HIIT style class. The first part of class will start with a warm-up that gets you mindful of your core while getting it engaged. Then…starts the crunching… it’s all timed, so it’s completely up to you how many reps you want to do. You can do 5 or 500 of each set! We do 5 different core focused exercises back-to-back followed by a minute break. We do this 4 times total. Then, we rest. I’ll teach a stretchy cool down followed by Savansana.
Yoga Sculpt is a HIIT style class. This is Yoga Tone but as HIIT. We jump straight into class with 5 different exercises each followed by a quick break before our full minute break. We will repeat this 3 more times for a total of 4 sets. This will be a full body workout followed by a stretchy yoga flow. Class will end in Savasana.
Yin to Zen is a new one to the schedule, and will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to go for the next workout. I will guide you through only a handful of poses. Each pose will be held for 1-5 minutes. Don’t worry...I won’t make you keep up with the time! I will do this for you and let you know when it’s time to shift out of the stretch & move onto the next one. Your tired muscles will be all stretched out after class. Slow. Restful. Zen.
Along with public and private group classes, I offer individual yoga sessions for athletes and others looking to accomplish a specific health goal. Reach out to see if a private yoga lesson is right for you.
